Owner/Director Jennifer Kean has a proven track record of excelling in meeting all aspects of creator-care for local and international talent.
Jennifer brings twenty years of publishing industry experience, predominantly spent specialising in the Children’s and Young Adult market.
Close to a decade spent working within one of Australia’s most respected publishing houses provided invaluable insight into their day-to-day operations. As a core member of the marketing & publicity team, she also sat on the acquisitions board and senior management teams and was a valued colleague to those within the editorial, sales and finance departments.
Jennifer’s consolidation of industry knowledge, coupled with experience gained during noteworthy publishing house tenures and a further decade spent working for a leading online educational resource, has consistently led to career progression in administration, marketing, publicity, creator-care, event management and licensing.
During her exemplary career, she has built strong relationships with key stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand’s leading publishing houses, gaining the respect of authors, illustrators, booksellers, and literary organisations in the broader publishing industry community.
She has a proven track record of meeting all aspects of creator-care for local and international talent. Her meticulous attention to detail, thorough proofreading skills, impressive portfolio of written work, eye for design and ability to multi-task projects under strict deadlines embodies her task-oriented personality with a creative flair.

After graduating from a Bachelor of Arts (University of Melbourne) and living a stint abroad, Chi has spent the past decade working in marketing and communications across a range of industries, including advertising and children’s books.
With years of honing skills in strategic communications, online marketing, social media management, client liaison, consulting, graphic design and brand, Chi has long-term vision for all projects and relationships, with considered counsel and bespoke services.

Allison’s love of all things education and learning stems from her childhood, where she knew from a young age that she wanted to be a teacher. As a child, Allison loved reading and playing pretend classrooms with her older sister Jen. This led her to pursue a career in teaching, which has been both rewarding and fulfilling.
As KEAN & Creative’s Education Specialist, education is Allison’s passion, with 20 years of teaching in a government secondary school where she has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Allison is a qualified Primary and Secondary teacher having studied a Bachelor of Education (Primary and Secondary) at Deakin University.
Over the years, Allison has led Curriculum development and resource creation through her role as Curriculum Leader, taught across year levels 7-12, and provided her services as a VCE tutor.
